Nathalie Thorel is a French-born interior designer with over twenty years of experience and the founder of Interior Affairs, a Toronto-based studio known for creating quietly exceptional spaces.

Before turning to design, Nathalie completed a Masters Degree in International Business Law in France — a foundation that shaped the way she thinks. The precision, the attention to detail, the ability to hold complexity and bring it to resolution — these are qualities that translate directly into how she approaches a project. Paired with a refined aesthetic sensibility deeply rooted in her French upbringing, it is a rare combination that sets her apart.

Nathalie brings both technical rigour and creative vision to every commission. She understands construction and architectural process from the inside out, and works closely alongside her clients, contractors and trades to ensure that nothing is left to chance. She works exclusively on full-service residential projects — from major renovations to ground-up new builds — where the depth of her involvement can make a genuine difference to the outcome.

Her recent work includes Heart Lake, a contemporary farmhouse in Caledon, Ontario, featured in the National Post, Leibal, as well as a forthcoming publication in The quiet Home by Beta publishing.
